Kennel history

Tsinandali’s Pointer-Setter Kennel

Tsinandali’s Pointer-Setter Kennel was founded in 2015. Its foundation was built on two exceptional dogs — Ikiladnas Grace and Ektrokanielpis Loki, which were brought to Georgia by Aleksandre Panagasov. It was these two dogs that formed the basis for the kennel’s establishment and subsequent development.

Ikiladnas Grace became the genetic foundation of the kennel and the principal female that laid the groundwork for future generations and achievements. Her influence is still evident today in the bloodlines and accomplishments of Tsinandali’s.

Ektrokanielpis Loki was an exceptionally important male, who made a significant contribution to the development of the working qualities of the English Pointer in Georgia and to the promotion of the breed.

Over the years, Tsinandali’s has produced numerous Georgian Working Standard Champions. The kennel’s goal has always been quality over quantity — selective breeding focused on developing working instinct, style, intelligence, and endurance.

Major Achievements

2023

One of the kennel’s most significant achievements came in 2023, when Tsinandali’s Echer, born from Grace’s final litter, placed third at the European Cup held in Greece. He also earned numerous victories and titles in both Grande Quête (Great Search) and quail field trials.

2024

The year 2024 was especially successful for Tsinandali’s. A female Pointer bred by the kennel — Tsinandali’s Ca — became the European Champion in Grande Quête (Great Search). In the same year, her offspring, Tsinandali’s Mulan, became the Derby Winner.

2025

The following year, Tsinandali’s Zico won the Derby, and was also awarded the title of Best English Pointer of the Year.

2026

In 2026, Tsinandali’s dogs competed in the highest-level European Grande Quête (Great Search) competitions, where they received the highest evaluations. In the same year, Tsinandali’s Echer was once again named Best English Pointer of the Year, earning this distinction for the third time.

Founder

Tsinandali’s Kennel was founded by Giga Megutnishvili, who has been professionally involved in the training and preparation of hunting dogs for more than 15 years.

Today, the kennel continues to grow, pursuing new goals and future plans.
